The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is now accepting applications for the 2025 academic year. Prospective students can submit their applications online before September 30, 2024.

The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across various disciplines, including agriculture & natural science, education, economics, development, and business sciences. These study programmes are offered at different campuses, such as:

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Required Documents:

We kindly remind you that when submitting your online application for Tshwane University of Technology in 2025, it is crucial to ensure that all necessary documents are uploaded in clear and legible format.

  • certified copy of your identity document
  • Certified copy of your Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate or equivalent
  • Certified Grade 11 report (if you are currently in grade 12)
  • Your grade 12 June report (if you are currently in grade 12)

NOTE: These documents should be uploaded online. No faxed or emailed documents will be allowed.

The accepted document types/formats are: (pdf,doc,docx,tiff,PNG,jpg, jpeg)

How to Apply at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) – 2025 

Here are the simple steps to apply online at TUT for the year 2025:

Step 1:  Visit the TUT website HERE.

Step 2: Click on the “Apply Now” tab

Step 3: Accept the application rules and click “continue”

Step 4: Capture your biographical information and click “next” to proceed with your application;

Step 5: Capture your next of kin information and click next to proceed with your application

Step 6: Capture results details then add subjects and click “next”;

Step 7: Capture educational institution detail and click “next”;

Step 8: Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on “add qualification” and thereafter click “next”;

Step 9: Verify/Check your application details then click “continue”;

Step 10: Create your 5 digit PIN (e.g 24689), click “I accept”(twice) checkbox thereafter click “Submit Application”;

Step 11: Upload your documents, select “yes” on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded and then click “next”;

Step 12: Click “Load/View Document” >> “Upload document” >> “Choose/Browse file” go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document and click “save”;

Step 13: Once all documents have been uploaded click “complete upload”;

Step 14: Confirmation Page, end of application

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Application Fee 

Applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of R240 to be considered. The fee can be paid at ABSA BANK before applying, using their ID number as a reference.

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Closing Dates

Tshwane University has different closing dates for its study programmes. Some programmes may close as early as 15 June 2024. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to apply early to receive priority consideration and feedback. Please note that applications submitted after September 30, 2024 will not be considered.
