Sishen Solar Facility Bursary Programme

Sishen Solar Facility offers a bursary programme for the 2025 academic year, specifically for undergraduate and postgraduate students, providing valuable financial support for eligible students to further their studies.

The Sishen Solar Facility is accepting bursary applications from current Grade 12 learners at designated schools within its operational area, namely:

– Gamagara High School – Deben

– Langeberg High School – Olifantsfontein

– Hoërskool Kathu

While we prioritize 2024 Matriculants, we are open to applications from previous years. The bursary is available to South African citizens who wish to pursue further studies at South African public institutions, including TVET colleges, universities of technology, or universities. Individuals who completed their NSC or NTC in previous years may also apply.

What the Bursary Covers

The bursary covers the following expenses:

  • Tertiary institution tuition fees, registration fees and examination fees
  • Accommodation in a tertiary residence or equivalent
  • Meals
  • Learning materials (textbooks, stationary, etc.)
