About IITPSA Bursary Programme
The IITPSA Bursary Programme provides a great opportunity for a student to receive a generous bursary for their first year of study. The bursary is awarded for one academic year at a time, and renewal for the following academic year is dependent on the student’s satisfactory academic performance in the previous year. It does not cover repeat subjects or modules.
Fields of Study
The bursary programme is open to students pursuing undergraduate qualifications in the following fields:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) Computer Science / Information Systems / Applied Computing
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Information Systems / Informatics.
What the Bursary Covers
The IITPSA Bursary covers the following expenses:
- Full tuition fees, registration fees and exam fees
- University administered accommodation.
- Textbooks.
Requirements for the IITPSA Bursary Programme
To qualify for the bursary programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must have achieved an average of 65% and above in the latest examinations.
- Applicants must be registered for full-time undergraduate studies.
- Applicants must meet the entry requirements in the fields of commerce, science, engineering, mathematics and technology at a registered public university.
- Applicants will be required to participate in a formal assessment process including but not limited to Psychometric evaluation and an interview.
- Financial need is considered in applications.
- Only applications from South African citizens will be considered.
