- Agricultural (Bio-resource) Engineering (BSc Eng.)
- Agronomy (BSc Agric)
- Entomology (BSc Agric)
- Food Science (BSc Agric)
- Food Science and Technology (BAS)
- Food Technology (Diploma)
- Geo-Informatics/Geographic Information Science (BSc)
- Geomatics/Land Surveying/GIS (National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree)
- Land Surveying/Geomatics (BSc)
- Pasture Science (BSc Agric)
- Plant Pathology (BSc Agric)
- Soil Science (BSc Agric)
- Town/Urban and Regional Planning (National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree)
- Town/Urban and Regional Planning (BSc)
- Veterinary Science (BVSc)
- Viticulture and Oenology (BSc Agric)
Note: Postgraduate applications will be considered for DALRRD priority research projects (Advanced Diploma/B Tech/BSc Hons, MSc/DTech/PhD).

Requirements for the DALRRD Bursary Programme
To qualify for the bursary, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be studying towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the listed fields
- Not be a staff member of the DALRRD
- If applying for a postgraduate bursary, you must be studying or intend to study full-time towards one of the postgraduate qualifications listed above in 2025

Required Documents
- Certified copy of applicant’s ID
- Certified copy of Matric certificate and/or full academic records/transcripts
- Proof of combined household income
- University acceptance letter
- Certified copies of parents/legal guardian’s IDs
- Death certificates (if applicable)
- Certified copies of qualifications
- SASSA confirmation letter (if applicable)
- Proof of unemployment from the Department of Labour (if applicable)

- Complete the form and attach all required documents.
- Email the completed form and documents to: Externalbursaries@dalrrd.gov.za
Closing Date
The closing date for applications is September 30, 2024. Only successful applicants will be contacted. If you have not received any communication within 14 days after the release of Grade 12 results and the National Bursary Committee’s final selection process, consider your application unsuccessful.
